Dear Parents and Learners
Examinations have progressed well.
Thank you to parents who have supported the Buy-a-piece of the hall fund raising project. There is still time to return forms and money before I start following up the learners. Please help us to improve the hall facilities.
Last week of term will be slightly different from the previous 2 weeks:
Grade 9 learners are on job shadow from Monday/Tuesday to Thursday and must return their job shadow evaluation forms on Friday when they come back to school.
Grade 10, 11 and 12 are completing PAT’s for various subjects and must be at school from 8.00 till 14.00 in correct school uniform.
Grade 8’s as follows:
Monday 26th June is EID. The rest of the grade 8 learners will participate in soccer and volleyball games from 8.00 till 12.30. Please wear correct PT kit.
Tuesday 27th June is community service day for grade 8’s. You can wear correct PT kit as we need to do some general cleaning and repairs in the classrooms from 8.00 till 12.30.
Wednesday 28th June Grade 8 A, B, C and D will participate in the Human Progress Management assessment from 8.00 till 13.00. Please bring writing equipment and wear full school uniform.
Thursday 29th June Grade 8 E, F, G and H will participate in the Human Progress Management assessment from 8.00 till 13.00. Please bring writing equipment and wear full school uniform.
The whole school will be in class on Friday, correctly dressed, for day 10-period 1 to 4, starting at 7.50 and finishing at 12.00. Reports will be issued before the learners go home.
If you have any used/new bean bag chairs, tub-chairs or cushions that you are no longer using, please donate them to Willowmoore High School for our new revamped LO classrooms.
- Reminders:
Uniform: All learners should be in full winter school uniform. The grade 11 and 12 learners should be wearing blazers at all times. Please ensure that the boys and girls’ hair styles are in line with the school rules. The wearing of beanies is not an excuse for incorrect hairstyles. Scarves do not replace ties. Please ensure that your child is correctly dressed for school.Road safety: Learners need to be aware of cars and taxis using our road as we recently have had 2 learners who have been bumped by passing vehicles.
The pavement is wide enough for them to use. Do not walk or play in the road. When getting off taxis, please do not just rush across the road, check for oncoming vehicles.
At the same time, we are asking motorists to respect the pedestrians by driving at a sensible speed down the road and in the grounds.
Loud music is not allowed.
Willowmoore offers quality education at affordable rates. Please ensure that school fees are paid up to date. Thank you to all the paying parents who make it possible for us to continue our educational programmes and to support all our learners.
