    December 2019 Newsletter – Grade 10

    Good day parents
    After a lot of discussion it has been agreed to change the times of the school day to
    accommodate all that we would like to achieve. Please take note that the school
    times for 2020 have changed and are as follows:
    Period 1 starts at 7:50 and period 6 ends at 14:20 Monday to Thursday
    Period 1 starts at 7:50 and period 6 ends at 13:20 Friday
    We are introducing a compulsory study period for grade 10 to 12. It will be during a
    last period of the day and may extend into the afternoon. Learners are encouraged
    to make the most of this time to complete homework and learn about study
    methods.
    School uniform – This changes as the learners move into grade 11.

    SENIORS: GRADES 11 & 12BOYSGIRLS
    Summer:Fawn coloured trousers (no tapering- width must be 220mm) and white collared shirt, plain brown tie and blazer. Blazer is compulsory.A blazer is compulsory.

    Chocolate brown straight skirt – knee length, white shirt and tie / open necked white revere collar short sleeved shirt. 

    Chocolate brown trousers may be worn underneath the chocolate brown skirt

    Pantihose: Sheer brown tone e.g. Beach Bronze. No silver/grey tones. 

    Winter:Fawn coloured trousers (no tapering- width must be 220mm) and white collared shirt, plain brown tie and blazer. Blazer is compulsory.A blazer is compulsory.

    White long sleeved shirt and tie. 

    Chocolate brown straight skirt – knee length.

    Fawn trousers may only be worn in winter with white long sleeved shirt and tie. 

    Chocolate brown trousers may be worn underneath the chocolate brown skirt

    JerseySleeveless jersey may be worn in winter or summer.Brown with school colours (optional), long sleeve or sleeveless.
    Tie:Plain brown
    Shoes:Dark brown lace up (smooth leather). No suede or slip-on shoes.Dark brown leather court shoe. 

    Dark brown bar/lace up

    No platform, patent leather, stiletto, pointy toes or suede shoes allowed.

    Socks:Dark brown socks or plain brown socks with the school colours. No Argyle socksSummer: Sheer brown tone pantihose

    Winter– Long brown socks with school colours or chocolate brown tights.

    Dri-macWhite or bottle green dri-mac worn in winter or rainy weather with the blazer. White or bottle green dri-mac worn in winter or rainy weather with the blazer. 
    PT/Sports kitGreen school tracksuit pants/green school shorts, School T-Shirt. 

    Jersey, Blazer, school tracksuit top or dri-mac may be worn. 

    Plain takkies or normal brown school shoes.

    Plain black scarf

    Please remind the learners to read the code of conduct carefully.
    Hair needs to be neat and tidy – no fancy styles.
    Trousers must not be tapered.

    Matric results will be available at the school on 8 th January 2020 from 8am till 12
    noon.
